Susannah Herring, owner of Hot Yoga Plus , is a Memphis native who, after attending the University of Virginia, moved to Sydney, Australia, where she earned her Masters in Finance at Macquarie University.
She lived and worked in Hong Kong before moving back to Memphis for a job in finance, and for the next 8 years worked in investment banking and private equity for Morgan Keegan (now Raymond James). In December 2010, she decided to buy Hot Yoga Nashville as a "hobby" since she was spending so much time and money doing it herself. It didn't take long for her to realize that the yoga industry was booming. Since acquiring Hot Yoga Nashville, Susannah has successfully rebranded the studio to Hot Yoga Plus and has opened or acquired 5 more locations.
Hot Yoga Plus currently had 3 studios in the Nashville metropolitan area, one in Chattanooga, one in Memphis, and one in Oxford, MS.
In August, 2015 Susannah opened Nashville's first plant-based restaurant, Avo.
