Our Entrepreneur-in-Residence program provides a unique opportunity for students to be coached by a seasoned entrepreneur. This year, our 2 EIRs offer dedicated office hours to give one-on-one advising to student entrepreneurs and to help support our other programs for entrepreneurs. DaN HOGAN

Dan Hogan founded Medalogix—a Nashville-based post acute specific predictive modeling and workflow company—in 2009 to help home health providers deliver more efficient and effective patient care. A former home health agency owner and operator, Dan’s hands-on healthcare knowledge guides Medalogix in solving some of today’s most pressing healthcare challenges like hospital readmission reduction and end-of-life care coordination.

For his work developing Medalogix, Dan has been honored as Nashville’s “2016 Entrepreneur of the Year,”one of the Nashville Business Journal’s “Most Admired CEOs” and a “Healthcare Hero.” He was also recognized as the Nashville Technology Council’s “2016 Innovator of the Year.” Additionally the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society awarded Medalogix the Health Information Technology award, which distinguishes the software as one of the best emerging technologies in the Southeast. Most recently, Medalogix was recognized by Fierce as a Fierce Innovation finalist, Harvard University as a Health Acceleration Challenge finalist, Becker’s as a “Top Disruptive Healthcare Company to Watch” and the Nashville Technology Council as “2016’s Early Stage Company of the Year.” Dan has also presented at premier conferences, including the National Association of Home Care and Hospice’s annual conference, the Visiting Nurse Association of America’s annual conference, Harvard’s Forum on Healthcare Innovation, Yale’s Global Health and Innovation conference and TEDx Nashville.

Active locally in several civic capacities, Dan currently serves on the Boards of Safe Haven’s and TEDx Nashville.  He is a member of Leadership Nashville’s 2016 class and is also an active member and past president of Nashville’s Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) chapter.

A Chicago native, Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Georgia and spends his free time running, dabbling in photography and hanging out with his wife Annie and his daughter, Maddie.

Victoria Kopyar

Victoria joins the EIR program with a unique background of several successful corporate careers and having founded her own company.   Most recently, Victoria has been focused on her own company, VK Sport, LLC which is a lifestyle brand of premium women’s golf and active wear clothing.

Victoria began her corporate career with US Bank after graduating from “THE” Ohio State University with a degree in Accounting.  After spending 8 years “wearing a shoe that never fit” in various Operational Auditing roles and leadership positions, Victoria decided to pursue her passion for merchandising at Target Corporation.  Over the course of 13 years, she held various roles including product development, sourcing, merchandising, supply chain and inventory management. As part of her career, Victoria has traveled to numerous countries sourcing products and ideas which has afforded her great experiences and amazing stories.

Victoria left Target to join a new management team at Dollar General that was rebuilding the brand and started the company’s Trend and Product Development team.  During her tenure, she also was instrumental in re-positioning and growing their Private Label business.  After the company was sold to a private equity partner, Victoria joined Gibson Brands (formerly Gibson Guitar) allowing her to add manufacturing experience to her background as General Manager of their guitar accessories and lifestyle division. 

Victoria is also a mentor and advisor at O’More College of Design, as well as a member/advisor at the Nashville Fashion Alliance.

As an avid golfer, Victoria spends her free time enjoying the many golf courses in Nashville.  She is also loves walking the Greenways, working out, college football and will never turn down a chance to travel.
